Chowan-Edenton Environmental Group
The CEEG reinstalled our datalogger for conductivity (an indirect measure of salinity) and temperature in the Chowan River in mid-October. The device needed repair and a new battery, but we were able to save stored data from the river for the past 2 years. The upgraded device seems to be working fine and we will publish the retrieved data set monthly as needed. It is important to keep an eye on the overall conductivity levels especially in times of low rainfall as many use the river water for irrigation.
